Stibb Green

On a sunny Sunday morning in October 1995 I took the following photographs of Stibb Green.

Stibb Green 1995 1

Numbers 1 to 3 Stibb Green (number 1 is the Three Horse Shoes) with Manor Farm in the distance.

Stibb Green 1995 2

Numbers 1 to 3 Stibb Green again but looking north

Stibb Green 1995 3

Numbers 4 & 5 Stibb Green

Stibb Green 1995 4

Numbers 8 and 9 Stibb Green looking towards Marlborough Road. This view has now changed significantly with a large Thatched house having been built beside No 8.

Stibb Green 1995 5

Numbers 10 Stibb Green, Stibb Farm. This building consists of at least 2 former dwellings

Stibb Green 1995 6

Numbers 11 Stibb Green on the corner of Savernake Road (Formerly Station Road). The house's garage has been demolished and a large extension is underway

Stibb Green 1995 7

The High Street next to Manor Farm, looking towards Stibb Green. This view is imortalised in the Frith photo of 1907. The major chage is to the right where a block of thatched cottages were demolished in the 1950s to make way for a car dealership which then gave way in the 1990s to “The Withies”
