Seymour Garage
Originally Mr. Lampard owned a garage at the Stibb end of the High Street (on the site of "Hertsfield") but this was sold in about 1935 to Mr. Cady and the business transferred to the triangle of land at Seymour. The business has changed ownership several times but still flourishes - although 1 side of the triangle was removed with the coming of the bypass.
The fascinating picture shows a proud Mr. Lampard and an unknown boy outside his thriving business.
