| The list of articles specific to Stibb and Stibb Green will appear
here. For simplicity I have used the modern definition which says that Stibb
begins just before Manor Farm. The oldest documents refer to the hamlet as
Stubbe, then Steepe (and this has been remembered in the naming of Steepe Way
next to the Three Horse Shoes). Indeed the meaning of Stibb is still very much
in doubt but an analysis can be found in the general discussion of the
place names in the parish |
