Harepath in parish of Burbage.

THE WILL of John Church Deceased,

THE WILL was proved at Great Bedwin on the 26th day of March 1834 before the Revd. John Ward Clerk MA lawful [?] of the Revd. and Worshipful the Prebendary of the Prebend of Hurstbourne and Burbage.

And by him Administration of all and singular the Goods and Chattels of the said Deceased, and any ways concerning his Will was committed unto Thomas Church the Sole Executor named herein (being first duly Sworn of the Truth of the said Will, and faithfully to perform the same, and to pay the Deceased's Debts and Legacies as far forth as his Goods and Chattels will thereto extend and the Law bind him, and to exhibit a true and perfect Inventory of the Goods, Chattels, and Credits of the Deceased, and yield a just and true Accompt when lawfully required) saving the Rights of all Persons.

In the Name of God. Amen - I John Church of Harepath in the Parish of Burbage in the County of Wilts, Yeoman, being of sound, perfect, and disposing mind and Memory, praised be God, Do make constitute and ordain this my last Will and Testament in the manner and form following. - Imprimis

I give and bequeath unto my Son Thomas Church the sum of One Hundred Pounds of good and lawful money at the time of my Decease (exclusive of any other Legacy that may be hereafter given him) And also my best bed and furniture, eight-day clock, Mash-tub, Brewing Utensils and Jones's Geography - . Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Ruth Church at the time of my Decease my Six Volumes of the History of the Bible and Testament. - Item my Will and desire is that immediately after the time of my Decease, All the rest and residue of my Property, that I shall die possessed of at the time of my decease, consisting of ready money, Bills, Bonds, Book debts or any other Security or Securities for money whatsoever, Stock in Trade, Farming Stock and the other Property, shall be valued by two respectable Persons and the amount or value so ascertained, and after all my just Debts, Funeral Expenses, and Administration are legally and duly Paid, the remainder shall be Co-equally divided between my two Sons Thomas Church and John Church and my four Daughters Milicent Jackman, Anna Church, Ruth Church and Amelia Church in equal shares, Share and Share alike, and further my Will and desire is that my three unmarried Daughter, shall remain and live in my House, but if they should not agree together, then in that case my Son Thomas Church to find them another House to their Satisfaction. - Lastly I make constitute and appoint my Son Thomas Church Sole Executor of this my Last Will and Testament. - In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal, this twenty first day of February and in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty three.-

Signed, Sealed, published and declared by the within named Testator, John Church, as and for his last Will and Testament, in the presence of us who were in his presence and in the presence of each other at the time of the signing, Sealing and delivery hereof and have subscribed our names, hereto as Witnesses the interlineations "John Church" and the word "two" being First made.

You swear that the Contents of the Affidavit hereunto annexed and to which you have subscribed your name are true to the best of your knowledge and belief and that the paper writing also hereunto annexed doth in it contain the true original last Will and Testament of John Church late of Harepath in the Parish of Burbage in the County of Wilts deceased as far as you know or believe and that you are the Sole Executor therein named that you will duly execute and perform the same and pay his debts and legacies as far forth as his goods chattels and credits will thereto extend and the Law bind you and that you will make or cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased which have or shall come to your hands. Or knowledge and exhibit the same unto the Registry of the Prebendary of Hurstbourne and Burbage and pass a just and true account of your Execution ship thereupon when thereto lawfully required; You also swear that the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased are under the value of One hundred and fifteen Pounds. So help you God

At Great Bedwin on the twenty sixth day of March 1834 the oath above written was administered to Thomas Church the sole Executor named in the last will and Testament of John Church hereunto annexed and by him duly taken Before me
