While researching the history of Burbage I've encountered many
documents which list Burbage inhabitants. These sources can also be of interest
to those investigating their Burbage ancestry. The enclosed lists include the
complete 1881 and 1891 census returns plus the very important 1843 Burbage
Tithe Award. This lists all householders and landowners with references
allowing their residences to be identified (many of which are still standing
today). Other sources include Poll Books, Inclosure Awards, Parish Magazines,
Trade Directories etc. - over 30 in total.
